That is wrong. "what makes something louder is increasing amplitude" may be
something that a schoolchild is taught in a physics class but it is not
adequate. Loudness is not a physicist's measure and Jonathan tried to
explain the factors that a physicist takes account of in order to better
understand the (human) perception of loudness. Nick
