I had a student a few years ago with this allergy. After buying and trying
many different brands of reeds, we found that Vic Oliveri reeds worked for
her. I seem ro remember reading 20 years ago that one of the bassoonists in
the Chicago symphony was allergic to his reeds,,,but just played through the
discomfort!
