This is directed to all you marching band haters out there, especially you
Ken Caputo!!!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I love my marching band!!! I'm sure none of
you are familiar with the history of Tennessee football or the history of
the "Pride of the Southland" Marching Band. But for those of you who
might be I'm sure you know about the 10,000+ fans that line up on the
streets just to watch us march down to Neyland Stadium(the BIGGEST college
stadium ANYWHERE!!!!!) and watch us play the "Salute to The Hill". I'm
sure you also know about the 107,000 fans that fill up Neyland Stadium
every Saturday and sing "Rocky Top" at the top of their lungs as we play
it during our pre-game show. Let me tell you, there is no feeling in the
world like the very first time you perform for 107,000 people and the
crowd rises to their feet, screaming, while you perform a circle
drill.(which, by the way, was innovated by our former band director, Dr.
WJ Julian) That, my friends, is why I love my marching band and I'll stay
in it until I graduate.
