Hi all,

Since my wife sew's and there has been much praise about silk swabs of late I
decided to ask her to make me a new swab. The material she has on hand is
100% pure silk but does not seem to be very absorbant at all. Infact it seems
to be almost waterproof! Does it need to be washed to make it absorbant or
what?
