I'm in the Pride of Maine Marching Band and Screamin' Black Bears Pep
Band at UMaine. I don't see piccolos as a problem (mostly because they
are usually on the way other side of the field or bleachers) so much as
the discrimination towards the clarinets. We have four clarinet players
(if I'm lucky) coming next year but I'm a little afraid of losing them
because we're always being told we aren't important to the band. But on
the piccolo thing (sorry I jump around alot) we have three players and
more coming next year.
Anybody got any ideas on how I could increase the size of the section?
Maybe if we had more players we would produce more sound.
