glue rubber patches to my crystal mouthpiece and corks to keys and nail
polish remover desolves the glue when I want to get it off. I wouldn't
think it
would harm the wooden tenon, but I could be wrong.

Although you may not see solvents like acetone attacking the material of the
mouthpiece. On a molecular level they are acting to break down the bonds etc.
in such a way that you run the risk of your mouthpiece fracturing or turning
into goo a few years down the road. (If this is important to you).

Yes Acetone will harm the wood. It dries it out very rapidly which may lead
to checking and/or cracking.
