So the new listserver is spreading the pain equally, is it.

I signed off for a while, because the listserv mechanism was getting
completely silly. It may well have worked within the USA where stuff
never got out onto the listserv mechanism, but mail to me came through
European listserv gateways which seem to be totally unreliable.

I *manage* a list in Germany (300 miles from here, perhaps):
occasionally I get delays of as much as a week, and regularly I get
delays of a day or more.
