Subj: Cork Cement -- thanks

Thanks to all who responded to my call for a testimonial.
I bought a 3 oz bottle of the original formula Weldwood
(toluene based) at Home Depot this evening and corked
my mouthpiece tenon. It was so quick and easy compared to
everything else I've tried, and not messy at all. I
tapered the ends on my grindstone
after cutting a cork strip with a little overlap,
gave one coat to my crystal mouthpiece tenon and a couple
of coats to the cork, at all places where contact would
occur. It helps to have done some carpentry contact
cement projects in order to have the "feel" of the
way pieces go together with contact cement.

The posting about "Barge" has piqued my interest,
particularly if one can buy it in a tube (at least
some quantity less than a quart). I'll try to find
some at our local mall.

Thanks again to all of you,

Oliver
