The majordomo software is slower than the listserv software
(the old listserv software/mailers actually resided on
the company that owns listserv - the Bitnet path was in
a sense a "ruse" since it routed right back out to the company
that was servicing the listserv - their name I can't remember).
Majordomo is just a mail script - I would have used something
different and more efficient (majordomo doesn't know about
domain mailing without some work behind the scenes, and I don't
think that their sys admins know how to set that up). Considering
how long its taking to get the digest set up, I'm pretty sure
they're just learning.
