Personal experience with both corked and uncorked upper joints tells me
that it won't have any effect on condensate gurgling through the tone
holes. In fact, I recently got a new Bb with most of the top joint
corked, and it seems to have far more frequent such "events." Darned if
I can figure it out. Since the source is the same, it shouldn't make
any difference, e.g. changing an earthen dam to a concrete one won't
affect how much rain collects in the basin behind it. Others'
experiences may vary, of course.
