Steve and others,
The pads on my near-new Buffet don't stick, to the extent that they
interfere with playing. However, they are noisy when they open. I do have
some of the Yamaha version of cigarette paper and it doesn't make much
difference.

I gather that the pad is made in two layers and that when the key opens the
outer layer sticks a bit and then makes a noise when it finally comes
loose.
