Subj: stolen clarinets

I don't believe that I'm in this position, but it has occurred to me
that a purchaser of a second-hand instrument could occasionally be
presented with a "hot horn," i.e. stolen. Is there a list of serial
numbers of missing clarinets somewhere? Maybe the manufacturers have
individual lists. I believe the flute list had a reference to something
like this for flutes, but I could be mistaken. Any other suggestions
for tracking the source of suspicious instruments?

(apologies for using the term "horn" for a clarinet, but the
alliteration was irresistable)
