DO NOT USE PAD SAVERS! They cause what they are intended to prevent. They
hold moisture in the instrument and rot the pads (not to mention what it
does to the instruments itself). They make as much sense as an oboist
wiping the top joint of his/her oboe with a feather. Distributing moisture
within the instrument, claiming that it "saves the pads" or "prevents the
instrument from cracking" is ludicrous.
