The plastic boxes that Mark Charette described are definitely available in
the U.S. I use one for my piano music. I don't know about clear ones,
because mine is green, but the point is that similar products are
available. Office supply stores are a good suggestion, though I imagine
places like Target and WalMart might have them too. There's also a store
chain on the West Coast, though I don't know if it's anywhere else, called
The Container Store, and since it's an entire store devoted to just
containers (people organized enough to actually need a store like this make
me sick), I'm sure they'd have something.

I suppose I should have mentioned I am looking for something that doesn't
break easily. In the dance band I played in years ago we carried our music
around in fibre board boxes. I supposed they actually held up for quite a
few years but every time someone stepped on them another piece broke off
and after a while they were held together by old belts and such.
I was actually thinking of something that looks a bit like a pilot's case,
but probably made out of some kind of tough fabric like a case cover.
However, I am open to suggestions.
