I'm playing the Reed 3 part in my high school's production of
Oliver. I'd like to know I should handle the transfers between the bass
and Bb clarinet. I'm really a bass-clarinetist doubling on the
clarinet, so I'd like to keep the bass on a neck strap (Using a peg, of
course). Do you suggest using a bass clarinet stand? I've been caught
between instruments during rehearsal, and I don't want to deal with the
embarrassment any longer. How much do reliable bass stands cost?
