I just did a search via http://patents.cnidr.org and there have
been no references to Christiansen on any patents from 1976 to
present (in the References cited sections). However, there's a
wealth of info there on OTHER things:
>Moisture trap for clarinets
O-ring ligature (O rings with a nylon strap to keep them the right
distance apart)
Lots of keywork, barrel, and mouthpiece patents

Unfortunately, only U.S. Patents from 1976-present.
I also checked the Questel-Orbit database and didn't find anything
relating to Christiansen & clarinet.
