Anybody who has a really serious problem holding the instrument may like to
know that Stephen Fox ( 104022.3105@-----.com ) makes a support and
strap that completely frees the thumb (intended for the basset clarinet
where you need to use the thumb to play low notes) while keeping the
instrument in the normal position (he makes it because he also makes basset
clarinet extensions). Nick.
