To all: I hope you'll be tolerant of this program announcement that
might be of interest to list-members in the area:

On Saturday, April 19 at 8:00 P. M., The Cadek Department of Music and
Allied Arts of Chattanooga present a newly staged/choreographed
production of Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire", Op. 21.

The production is choreographed by Ann Law, of Chattanooga's "Barking
Legs" Theater with lighting by Mark Stone of The University's Fine Arts
Center. Vocalists are Rebecca St. Goar and Jan Cochrane of the
University Music Faculty. Instrumentalists include members of the
Chattanooga Symphony (including the fantastic playing of Steve Tonkinson
on various clarinets..) and University faculty, conducted by Jonathon
McNair.

The English language performance, produced by vocalist Cochrane, will
feature a pre-concert lecture by McNair. It is designed to facilitate an
understanding of the music and its interaction with the poetry by
providing a multi-arts representation of the piece, serving a
pedagogical and community outreach function in the process.

The performance, in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts
Center on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus, is open to
the public. There is an admission charge of $2.00 at the door.
