May I suggest that you hit the library as there may be at least 125
quintets in print for clar/strings. Most are pretty serious efforts so I
can't imagine that they would be appropriate for a "gig" but why not look
at quartets, i.e. clar, vln, vla, cello? Lots of good stuff like Stamitz,
Crussel, Hummel, etc. And, it works well for the banquet crowd.
