There was an article on CBC yesterday about Stradavarius violins (an
undergrad at Juliard had won a competition that allowed him to use a Strad
for several years in his studies there) that got me thinking. (Dangerous, I
know.)

So, what if reeds were like violins? What if _ALL_ of the best reeds were
made by some guy hundreds of years ago, and modern technology still couldn't
reproduce them? What if your reputation as a Clarinetist would instantly
soar if you played on one of these reeds?

-Harlan (who suspects people have been putting LSD on his reeds...)
