I know this is a little late in the discussion, but you might want to try
out the BG ligature, which is very similar to the Rovner, except there
are metal inserts (similar to a metal ligature) which lie against the
reed. I found it to be a great improvement over the rovner, and it might
be a change from the Bonade (ie different timbre and quality). Hope this

Oh! There are also several different kinds, I know that Muncy winds has
two styles - and you can try out three to get a feel for their individual
differences too.
