Rob Teitelbaum asked about a gliss on the clarinet where you end up with
MORE fingers down than you started with...
This should be no problem as a gliss is really accomplished by throat
movement. Try this exercise. Play the c two ledger lines over the
treble staff and slur down a half step (using normal fingerings) to b
and then back to c. Now finger the c again and make the downward pitch
movement with only your throat, no finger movement. Repeat the exercise
in ever-increasing intervals.
