Regarding the glissando in Paul Harvey's "It Ain't Necessarily So"
etude.......yes it is marked as a slow glissando from middle C to high
C, and is of course a reference to "Rhapsody in Blue". This piece is
published as "Three Etudes on Themes of Gershwin" by Emerson Edition.
They are challenging, and a lot of fun to play. They are unaccompanied
pieces. The other tunes are "I Got Rhythm" and "Summertime", with a
multiphonic ending that I still can't play.
