Well, I hope so. I've done this piece a number of times, and if you can
do the Rhapsody in Blue, then just keep your embouchure (if you can call
it that in this instance!) for the gliss quite loose, and find a suitable
F# fingering to land on. Once you're into the gliss, find the F#
fingering and "scoop" up to the proper (or at least desired) pitch. I
seem to remember using an overblown Bb''' for the F#. I'd have to try it,
and it's too late here for that (kid asleep, and all that).
