My clarinet teacher (who is a retired pro clarinettist/band director) said,
"If I ever see you with one of those synthetic plastic reeds......." He
never said but I'm sure you all get the idea. And Barry, how's this
question, why not a cheap piece of bamboo? Are you forgetting the beautifull
sound created with a clarinet due to this cheap piece of bamboo? Sure they
wear out but personally I think playing an instrument with such an
astonishing voice is worth it. Anyone have any thoughts about that???
