Hello Klarinet-folks,

Here in the small country The Netherlands we are able to watch foreign
channels on TV, i.e. belgium, Germany, France but also England
(Great-Brittain). So, every day you can watch an Star Trek episode on one
of the many channels available. Stupid or not, besides watching the news, I
usually only watch Star Trek, and, while this thread was going on our
international Klarinet-List, I saw the episode in wich we could here a
clarinet, played by the Asian-"boy" on the BBC (Breat Brittain). I really
think he's (the Asian actor) a clarinet player, and it was "real sound", I
mean: it came actually out of his clarinet, while he played it . He played
a few bars of the beginning of the Mozart concerto...not bad...on Bflat
clarinet.
For me his fingers doesn't seem uncomfortable at all, I mean: "normal"
fingerings for an amateur.
Well, this isn't a very serious thread, but I just wanted to tell you, that
I coincidantally (how do you write this word?) saw the Star Trek episode
this week!
OK,

bye for now,

Jeroen T. Salm
The Netherlands
