You could use Alcohol Swabs to kill the virus germs. One of my students
dads is an infectious diseaze specialist, and he said that they work really
well. Allow the reed, M.P. etc to dry naturally before playing- do not wipe
the alcohol off, as it takes a few seconds to kill all of the germs (and it
tastes really bad!). I use alcohol swabs when I try my students reeds, and
I never get sick from them. It will not affect your reed in a negative way.
It may discolor your mouthpiece slightly, but won't affect the way it plays.
