I'm reposting something I said on February 18 relating to Daniel's reeds.
I'll state again that my wife's clarinet teacher has begun using Daniel's
reeds exclusively and recommends them to his students also. My wife likes
them better than the V12's, and finds that about 8 of 10 play well after
conditioning and minor adjustment.

I asked the list two days ago about Daniel's reeds, and have gotten only one
response, to the effect of "I've never heard of them."

I've checked more into them, and it turns out that they are new in the U.S.
market. They are being imported by a firm in Portland, OR, and there are only
a few dealers in the country who are handling them at present. The box says
that they are made in Italy.

For information on the location of who is currently selling the reeds, contact
Ed Kraus of Kraus Music Products, 503-654-6387. I asked Ed if he was giving
away free samples (like Zonda) and the answer is an emphatic "NO". Ed is
looking for more dealers (he wants about 35-40 total) and is interested in
large music shops only.
