I played for years on a horn that had been pinned before I got it
(lower joint, almost into (not quite!) the first tone hole). We did
get an "outside" opinion on the work before buying (if you don't feel
comfortable making the judgement yourself, I would _strongly_
recomend it) , but I played it for fifteen years.
