If anyone is interested in coming to the 22nd annual University of
Oklahoma Clarinet symposium, here is information that was in the most
recent Clarinet Magazine:

All events are held in Catlett Music Center except those marked with **.

Master Classes:
Participants may perform material of their choice for one of these
individuals in informal master classes Viewed by the remeaining
participants. Those who perform may play solos from the standard
repertoire or orchestral excerpts. Participants for Master Classes will
be enrolled on a first come first serve basis and there is an additional
charge of $25 for performing in Master Classes.

Registration and Fees:
There is no cut-off date for registration. For those who register at the
beginning of the Symposium, the fee will be $155. early regitration
fee--for those who register before May 15th, is $140. There will be an
additional charge of $25 for performing in master classes. Cost is $75
for spouses, and $90 for High School students. Dailiy registration is
$55 and $50 for a second day. One hour university credit is possible
with Enrollment in MuED 5970 at an additional charge.

Transportation:
Ground Transportation to and from all the Oklahoma City airport is
available from Airport Express at a reduced rate with the coupon
provided by the symposium. Details will be sent to registrants.

Southwest Airlines is offering a discount on most of its already low
fairs, for travel to and from the University of Oklahoma Clarinet
Symposium. Call the Southwest Airlines Group and Meeting Desk at
1-800-433-5368, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm and refer ID Code R2187.
Call by NO LATER than May 23, 1997 to take advantage of this offer. Call
right away as fares are subject to terms and availability.

A Shuttle Service is available to transport participants to and from the
motels (morning, late afternoon, and evening.) The cost is $20 for the
three days.

Housing and Meals:
Economical Housing may be obtained at the following motels in Norman:
Thunderbird Lodge 1-800-432-2473 pool, air-conditioned rooms,
rate $37 plus tax,
per room for up to 4 occupants
Ramada Inn 1-405-321-0110 pool, air-conditioned rooms, rate
$45
for up to four persons
Residence Inn by Marriott 1-405-366-0900 One Bedroom suites, pool and
breakfast, rate $64

Norman has many fine restaurants, near campus, including many that serve
excellent ethnic foods. Most are reasonably priced.
Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.
