My first listening to classical music were two double albums (dated
myself there). One of Philly doing Russian classics and the other the
soundtrack of Fantasia.
My clarinet listening highlights were:

- Borodin, Polovestian Dances and Anthony Gigliotti's opening solo.

- Rossini, Intro, theme, and Var with Gervase De Peyer.

- Goodman's Nielsen (at the time I thought WOW!)

- Drucker's Nielsen (still WOW!!)

One of the most memorable things that convinced me to be a musician
was when a youth band director played a recording of the Eastman Ens. doing
the William Byrd Suit - that opening clarinet sound was just so tight.
