Deborah--

Try John Harbison's "Samuel Chapter." I heard it at Emmanuel Church in
Boston; it's extraordinary. For soprano or tenor, fl, cl, perc, pf, va,
vc. Percussion includes vibes, which works extremely well. It's a setting
of the story in Samuel where God makes himself known to Samuel. However,
I'm not sure if this is published; Schirmer publishes his music.

Good luck,

Gary

Does anyone have any suggestions for sacred chamber music? We are going
to try to put on a chamber music concert at our church with music that
is both classical and sacred.
