Hi Kathi...unless you "mike" your clarinet I know of no way you can stand
out above the brass...unless, of course, the conductor *insists* they
control their dynamics. This is not a "smart mouth" answer...it's the
brass's responsibility to let the soloist come through. Maybe threats or
coercion will do the trick! ;-)
