Greetings fellow clarinetists! A couple of comments and questions:
1. Mladi (Youth) for WW Quintet & B. Clar. is written in bass
clarinet with low e being one ledger line below the staff..
2. Just last night at rehearsal our bass clarinetist was reading
off one part (Revueltas, Sensemaya) that is written to be played an
octave higher than the Mladi, and another part by Albenez that is written
to be played the same as Mladi... confusing!
3. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH CLARINETISTS ERIC
HOWPRICK, ANTONY PAY, RUTH MCDOWALL, OR DAVID RIX? I am exploring the
possiblity of performing one of Vivaldi's Concerto Grosso for 2 oboes and
2 clarinets and found CD's of them with Christopher Hogwood, and Nicholas
Kraemer. ANY INFO REGARDING THIS TOPIC WOULD BE SINCERELY APPRECIATED!
