Roger: I have never had any problems with Eb reeds when I have built them from
Bb reeds. Sometimes the Bb reeds are too wide but after I plane them down
they fit perfectly. And the benefits to the Eb pitch and sound are
wonderful. Maybe you should be more specific as to what kind of terrible
things have happened when you or a frined has used this method for Eb
clarinet.
