I asked a bassoon repair friend about this, knowing that GoreTex=81 =
is designed to 1.) keep out moisture, but 2.) also allow air to pass =
through (breathe). His response - yes, it allows air to pass through =
- for an instrument pad, "what is wrong with this picture?"!!

Any comments from the repair techs here?
