Starr,
What style of music are you playing? I found that I couldn't use
my Brilhart mouthpiece to play with a Jazz band because it simply wasn't
loud and harsh enough. Now I'm using (believe it or not) a Rico Royal
graftonite
Jazz facing. It works real well. Growls wonderfully, etc. However, I can't
do ANYTHING tasteful on it. For that I still use the Brilhart.
I have found, however, that REEDS make a huge difference. Regular
Rico reeds don't work well at all for me, but maybe it's just this
mouthpiece.
