Hello everyone...

I have a big favor to ask of anyone out there who might be able to help
me. I have recently began having problems with my reed/mpc set up and I'm
not sure what's causing it. I usually play on Vandoren 3.5 reeds, have a
Bonade metal ligature, and I'm not sure what my mpc. is... a professor
re-did an old mouthpiece that I had and until recently I loved it. The
problem is that lately I've been getting a really 'thin' sound that I just
don't like at all. I also have a Vandoren B45 and a Vandoren 11.6
mouthpiece that I am not unwilling to try, but with the reeds and ligature
I've been using I've found them to sound really 'stuffy'. If anyone has
any suggestions as to new reed and/or ligature combinations with any of
these 3 mpc's I'd really appreciate hearing your ideas. I'm principal
clarinet in the Wind Symphony this semester and I have several solos, so
I'm really interested in finding a better sounding set-up. And before
anyone tells me to ask my private teacher, I don't have one.... I'm a
psychology major! :-)

Thanks in advance, everyone!

April
