Kathi,
This is in no way a dumb question. I posted my "dumb questions"
list as a parody of the extreme to alleviate the tension and put everything
into perspective. I certainly did not mean to make people self-conscious!
As someone else here also pointed out, even the most basic questions can be
valid if the person really doesn't know. And I'd, personally, rather take
the time to explain to someone what a "bee bee" clarinet is than have them
not know! (Incidentally, a bee bee clarinet is a clarinet that you can use
as a blowgun to shoot little meta balls).

Please, everyone: just ask away!
