Actually the paper towel cardboard roll is a lot bigger then the bore. I
can fit the lower joint into it up to the Ab/Eb (A bee, E bee ;) keys
included. It has to do with the length of the roll, if it were to be cut my
guess is that the pitch may go down. Now the roll came from a standard
fitted roll holder, so I won't say I have a "particularly big roll".
