Hi there,

Did I read somewhere that the Egyptians invented the clarinet, and
Denner, who was a keen collector of Egyptian Art, noticed this
strange looking instrument on a painting and did his best to copy it.

If anybody can throw some light on this subject, either to confirm or
inform me of my insanity on suggesting such a tale, I would be
grateful.
