James Collis Modern Course for Clarinet (books 1-6) is the best tutor I
know of and use. Elkan publishes it. I can't tell you how much I dislike
Elkan publishing-the bro-in law took over (after Henri's death) and runs it
out of his garage. He never pays his authors commisions (I teach Arthur
Hegvik's daughter-look on the back of the book to see who Arthur Hegvik
is). Pretty sleezy, but one heck of a method.
