What Clarinet tutors are being used for beginning and intermediate students
now adays?? Are there any really good new tutors (or revisions of older
ones) that have beecome available in the last 30-40 years???

When I began (many years BC, Before Clarinet-and-music-dominated-my-life),
my teacher started me with the Langenus tutor. Later, other teachers had me
work from the Bellison-Klose, Bettoney-Baermann, and Bellison-Lazarus (I
studied with both Bonade and Bellison students over the years)....

Note that I'm making a distinction between tutors and etude collections
such as Rose, Jean-Jean and Uhl....also between tutors and school band
methods...

any thoughts???

best wishes, steve
