Hello everyone,

My name is Angel Morales. First of all, much thanks to those of you who gave
advice and addresses of good clarinet stores in the US. I am an amateur
clarinetist that's been studying alone for the last 37 years. I am from
Central America and would like some advice about a new clarinet that I think
I would like to buy in the U.S.
I usually play as a soloist in small chamber groups that include a piano.

*My clarinet*:
Selmer 10S
BOEHM system
20 keys. 7 rings (with articulated C#, fork Eb- Bb, Ab-Eb lever and Low Eb)
Selmer C85 mouthpiece, 120 facing.
Rovner Ligature

The "other clarinet, the one I want to have your comments about":
Selmer Recital Series
17 keys, 6 rings.

My questions:
1- Is there a noticeable difference in sonority between these two clarinets?
2- Is the Selmer Recital Series Clarinet available with 7 rings, articulated
C#, fork Eb- Bb and Ab-Eb lever like my 10S?
3- Are Selmer Recital Series Clarinets very consistant with quality, or are
there noticeable variations from clarinet to clarinet (timbre, sonority and
tuning)? (Could I just mail order it knowing that they will all sound the same?)

Thanks very much in advance,

Mr. Angel Morales
