Have you ever thought of trying a metal clarinet? I've heard that the tone
can really cut. Also, I had heard of a fellow who had a metal resonator on
his clarinet barrel, I have no idea how you would aquire a barrel like this
but apparently it made him much louder. (and according to the person
telling me this, much more annoying) You just can't be too loud sometimes.
Trumpet players will tell you!
