Hello everybody,
A couple of questions;
1)What is the PERFECT mp/ligature/reed combination?
(This is a joke, please DO NOT respond!)

2)Does anybody know who the clarinet instructor at the Vienna Conservatory
is? (I have exhausted my own resources and now look to some of you in that
area)

3)I have read that the best way to prepare a piece is to know everything
about it (I agree to this). In order to know *everything* about it, you
must know about the composer, the time period that it is written, the
circumstances surrounding its composition, etc... I got into a heated
*debate* with my band director when he said that you need not concern
yourself with anything that is not written on the page. Please reply.

4)Does anybody have any suggestions as to any advanced/intermediate jazz
music for clarinet? (ie. jazz band arrangement with clarinet solo)
Because my band teacher refuses to recognize the fact that jazz clarinets
(and jazz flutes) exist.
