I would just like to say one more thing before I hope this thread
just dies away, so I won't have to read more messages appended to my
rather lengthy, snotty post: personally, I don't put myself on any
pedestal at all, and I don't generally, believe it or not, cast
judgements on people, period. Quite frankly, as a clarinetist I am
as amateur as they come; and compared with the experienced and
intelligent and extremely talented people here, I have more to learn
than to teach about the clarinet. Which is one reason of many why I
choose to make this list the last place I come to when I have a
question, and not the first -- yes, my own personal choice, doubtless
not for everyone -- and of course, I live in New York City. Which
believe it or not, was I think what my point was, and the other
gentleman's.

And finally, -- no, I don't believe in censorship -- for those who
accused me of this -- but I do believe in economy of expression, not
to mention consideration.
