I just played an Opera Concert that had the "Dich theure Halle" from
Wagner's Tannhauser in it. It opens with 6 notes to a beat of 106
(conductor's speed) tongued starting at a piano dynamic crescendo for 4
beats on 4th space E (24 notes) with only Clarinets and Horns playing. Now
that's fast! We also played Ov. Bartered Bride, so I got quite the workout.
