Thanks for your reply. I think my whole point is that it is important how
often I breathe. My music sounds quite unmusical when I begin running out
of air. I can continue to play, but what I produce beyond a certain point
offends my musical taste. I'd rather play adagio and focus on quality
throughout the tones than finish a passage and not be happy with it (or,
more to the point, "enjoy" it). Keep in mind I'm not a professional who has
to play, air or not. ----Bill F.
