Welcome to Washington!! If you want to look for something musical
to do, I suggest your friend get his hands on a City Paper that Thursday.
I don't know of any clarinet specific events going on, but there's almost
always some sort of concert or recital (if you're lucky, it's free) going
on, plus the NSO at the Kennedy Center.
On a side note, I remember reading about a month ago that the
Kennedy Center was going to start having free concerts every night at six
pm, like little recitals and shows, nothing huge, but every night, and
free. I was wondering if anyone knew anything more about this.
